There are so many devices, which are used to handle the patients, or to take care of patients. One of such devices is patient hoist, or also called patient lift. Whenever, there is a patient who cannot move on, by himself, patient hoist is used to move the patient from one place to another place. This reduces the efforts which are to be made by attendants, who are appointed for care of such patients. Patient hoists are used in hospitals or nursing homes, or may be at homes, also. There are many types of patient hoists available, such as mobile hoist, ceiling lift, and stationary hoists.
Patient lifting hoist is used to lift the patient, in case, he is to be moved from bed to chair or vice versa. These hoists are assistance to the caretaker of the patient. Basically, hoist is a simple mechanical device used for lifting the patients who are unable to move from one place to another place. There are mobile hoists, which use wheels to move from one place to another place, but it may need more space, Stationary hoists are fixed at a place on wall, so it will require lesser space but it has limitation of movement.
